Honeywell, Corporation
Honeywell today introduced a streamlined solution to integrate its popular
7800 Series burner controls with industrial automation systems or building automation
systems. The new Honeywell S7810M Modbus Networking Module provides communications
and networking with ModBus protocol control systems, which are widely used in
building automation and industrial automation. It also gives the ability to
interface with legacy Honeywell devices, such as the 7800 Series Burner Controls,
ControlLinks? Fuel Air Ratio System and Expanded Annunciator.
The S7810M module offers a simpler, lower-cost alternative to traditional methods
of integration and networking. No peripheral hardware is needed between the
host industrial or building automation system and the 7800 Series Burner Control.
The module's unique design requires no separate software or PC for setup.
The S7810M module mounts on a 7800 Series relay module. It enables:
- Multi-dropped communications bus interface, which allows connecting multiple
7800 Series relays in a simple host communication port.
- Access to burner control operational information, such as sequence states,
fault codes, and alarm and history records.
- Networking with other 7800 Series relay modules, annunciators and Honeywell
ControLinks? fuel air controllers.
- Remote reset of the burner control from a lockout condition
- Remote commanded control of the burner control.
The Honeywell 7800 Series provides microprocessor-based integrated burner control
for automatically fired gas, oil or combination fuel single-burner applications.
The 7800 Series delivers safety, functional capability and features beyond the
capacity of conventional controls. The 7800 Series performs automatic burner
sequencing, flame supervision, system status indication, system or self-diagnostics,and
other functions.
