President's Message February, 2010
Happy New Year! 2010 is upon us.
The holiday cheer is over, the cold and snowy winter is at hand. Buckle up and bare down. Spring is just around the corner.
As we begin the year 2010, let me first and foremost thank our out-going President, Ron Steele, the 2008-2209 Association Directors and Association Officers for a fantastic job as the leaders of the Chief Engineers Association. Liken to the entire community both professional and personal, this past year the association was faced with many very difficult business related matters. It was by great leadership, collaboration of the Board, and by virtue of the support from the business community, the organization is on solid footing and is set to tackle the future.
I am truly honored and humbled to serve as the new President of the organization. With the help and guidance of the new Slate of Officers, I am confident that we will achieve the organization’s objectives, expand both our knowledge and business practices base and continue to foster a positive influence in the business community.
The CEAC Board members and I want to thank Local 399 President and Business Manager, Brian Hickey, and all the business agents for their continued support of this organization as well as to acknowledge their efforts in managing their membership during this difficult economic time.
January brought about the bi-annual dinner dance held at the Westin River North. I would like to thank all those who attended the event and witnessed the new Board Members taking their oath of office. It was truly a very memorable night for all of us.
February is the month in which the new officers and directors will dig into their new roles and direct assignments. The board will meet early in the month and new committee chairmen will be decided. This is when the real work begins for the Board.
I look forward to working with everyone over the next two years. Please know I will always maintain an “open-door” policy for any questions or concerns.
In closing, please keep our armed forces in your hearts and prayers. Truly, they have earned it.
Angelo Saccameno
President, CEAC
