President's Message, July 2009
Greetings To All!
July is here and with no general meeting to report on, this will be a short
letter. As everyone should know the months of June, July, and August are summer
break
months. General Educational Meetings will not be held during this time.
Our annual golf outing will be held on September 18, 2009 at St. Andrews
Golf Course, so please make sure that you have registered for your foursome.
And
for our associate members, please make sure that you have confirmed not just
your
foursome but also your hole sponsor. Contact the office of the Chief’s
at (708) 293-1720. Anyone there should be able to assist you.
You can also contact any of the committee members for the golf outing which
are Jim Cacciottolo, Angelo Saccameno, Ken Botta, Doug Kruczek, John Hickey,
and
Brendan Winters. We appreciate all the support and effort given for this outing
and look forward to everyone having a great day.
The Board continues to meet and take care of business as necessary. There
is nothing to report at this time other than things are going well.
I do want to say that even though summer is here, we should start planning
for the fall. I know it sounds a little crazy but what better time than now
to get
prepared for those classes we have been putting off, or that seminar that we
should have already taken or certifications that you have just not had the
time to take. Now is the time to set aside that date to complete these things.
Lastly, but just as important as anything, let’s not forget about our
Associate members. They bring to us new ways, new materials, new practices,
and NEW pricing.
I have said in the past and will continue to say: whenever you have the opportunity
to get pricing or recommend any of our Associate members you are doing a great
justice to yourself and to this organization. So for those that do this, please
continue and I thank you. For those that have not, or are now in the position
to do so, please recommend our Associate members and I thank you for this as
well.
As my final words in this letter I do ask everyone to remember in their thoughts
and prayers those that have fallen, for those injured and/or disabled, and
most definitely for those that are serving to protect us in our armed forces.
Thank you
Roland C. Steele
