February, 2009 President's Message
Welcome!
The 44th President of our nation is now in place. With this change, hopefully
the economy will improve and grow, benefitting all.
January’s meeting
was enjoyable and I would like to thank all who attended for their continued
support of this great association.
This month the Chief Engineers Association Board will meet for our annual
retreat. During this time we will set the goals for the 2009 calendar year,
review the
past year and make the necessary changes to ensure our members of the continued
commitment of the Chief Engineers Association of Chicagoland.
We can look forward to our February monthly meeting being held February 18th
at the BeauJolie in Schiller Park. Please mark your calendars for this
date. The evening begins at 5:30.
Winter has come in strong and brings with it some cold, harsh weather.
Despite this weather, we as Chief Engineers, Assistant Chiefs, Leads
and Managers
are preparing for the spring and summer season, as well as the regular
daily tasks
we have. As you assess your need to purchase supplies and services, I
want to remind everyone that we publish the Quick Shopper twice yearly. This
is a listing
of all the Associate members/vendors that advertise in the magazine and
continually support this organization. Please keep our Associate members
in mind and
kindly give them the opportunity to quote/price out your orders. You
will
find that
these Associate members are reasonable, fair, and competitive in their
market share.
As we continue with our daily activities, please keep the men and women
of our armed forces in your thoughts and prayers.
