Vendor Fair 2008
Once again the Chief Engineers Association hosted its bi-annual Vendor Fair
at the White Eagle Banquets in Niles. With over 100 vendors displaying their
products
and services, it was a night filled with facts and information for the Chiefs.
Each vendor brought their unique display to light as chiefs walked the aisles. “Goin
Green” was the topic for the evening and to highlight the event, Kroeschell
gave away young evergreen trees to be planted, and ultimately help the planet “go
green.” Bag tosses for prizes was a popular highlight with one vendor.
From mugs to coolies to little green “bugs”, each vendor had a
unique way to bring their information to the visitors.
Also available was a scrumptious Polish feast served during the evening.
Wafts of polish sausage, sauer kraut, chicken, potatoes and simply delightful
sweets
filtered throughout the area.
Door prizes abounded as the chiefs listened for their number to be drawn.
Many wonderful donations by vendors reached the hands of surprised chiefs.
Our grand
prize “Hog” was raffled off to one very surprised chief.
Don’t forget that our picnic and vendor fair will now take place on
opposite years. So the next picnic is scheduled for June of 2009, with the
next Vendor
Fair scheduled for 2010. Please watch for details in the mail and make plans
to attend both events. They are a great opportunity for your family to see
who you work with and for you, as a chief, to see what products and services
are
available to make your job easier.
As always, we have published what we have room for. Look them over and see
how much fun CEAC meetings can be.
