Elevated Platforms Training Series Available

Each year over 100,000 injuries and deaths are attributable to work-related falls. Fall Protection: Elevated Platforms from Summit is important for all industries, teaching workers the importance of best safety practices at any elevated height. While the dangers of falling from a great height are obvious, many workers underestimate the hazardous injuries that could occur from a short fall. A fall of anything over twice a person’s height has a greater than 50% probability of major injury. This engaging and informative program, also available in Spanish, uses high-end graphics and on-site footage to capture the dangers of working on elevated platforms and how to eliminate the risk.

This program covers best safety practices for: flatbed trucks, loading process, scissor lifts, crane bridges and lanyards.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics show falls as one of the leading causes of occupational death. An OSHA study involving 99 fall-related fatalities suggests that all of the deaths could have been prevented by the use of fall protection. This essential training program from Summit teaches workers to be aware and alert of the risks when working at any elevated heights to prevent future hazardous injuries.

A free preview of Summit’s new Fall Protection: Elevated Platform training program is available online by visiting www.safetyontheweb.com or by calling 800-842-0466.
