President's Message May, 2007
Greetings,
May is the month that we finish up our spring cleaning and get down to business
preparing for the coming summer months. If past summers are any indication,
we can expect some extremely hot days ahead, and it is important that we take
the
extra time needed to ensure that our air-conditioning equipment is in good
shape to handle the anticipated demand.
May also signals the start of our summer activities. Next month, we host
the CEAC annual family picnic, thanks to the efforts of the many sponsors
who stepped
forward to help us with this great annual event. I want to thank Dennis
Nolan for all the hard work he has put forward once again, making this annual
event
as great as it has become. We will be meeting once again at Bemis Woods,
Grove 5. Make sure to check your mail or visit the CEAC website for details.
I want to thank our friends at Rotating Equipment for co-sponsoring our
April meeting. It was a great meeting and very informative. This month,
Anchor
Mechanical will be co-sponsoring our meeting at BeauJolie in Schiller
Park. I am sure it
will be a very interesting meeting and I look forward to seeing you all
there.
During July and August, we take our summer break from monthly meetings,
but that does not mean that the Association is idle. Our staff will
be busy preparing
the monthly magazine and your board of directors will still meet to
administer to the association and to plan our next series of meetings. Come
September,
we
kick off another annual golf outing for the association and a great
time is planned.
I want to remind you all that our association was made possible through
the support of our associate members and advertisers. It is important
that we
support those
who support us by providing them the opportunity to furnish the service
and goods we need in our professional lives. So please remember to
check the
magazine or
the Quick Shopper when you are looking for a vendor.
Sincerely,
Harold Hacker,
President
