Cathodic Protection Anodes Simply Snap Together
A line of easy-to-install linear anodes for protecting all types of storage tanks,
buried pipelines, elevator shafts, and other machinery from corrosion is available
from Electrochemical Devices, Inc. of Belmont, MA.
AT-Series Linear Anodes consist of a copper-cored titanium flat wire coated
with mixed metal oxide and attached to a #14 AWG HMW/PE insulated bus wire.
Featuring
multiple current paths for redundancy and connectors that simply snap together
for rapid assembly, these impressed current linear anodes are easily constructed
in the field and form hermetically sealed connections.
Eliminated the need for custom fabrications, field splicing, and weldments,
AT-Series Linear Anodes are each 50 ft. long, can be mated to form a string
or power feed
cable, and T-style connectors allow intermediate current feeds on long
strings. Providing significant labor savings, an AT anode system can be installed
in a 60 ft. dia. tank in under 6 man-hrs., claims the firm.
