Angled Ball Joints Now Available
J.W. Winco, Inc., a leading supplier of standard industrial machine components,
announced the availability of Angled Ball Joints with threaded shanks.
Ball joints are used in controlling and linking mechanisms in all types of
machines. The ball joints consist of a ball socket and a ball shank. For assembly,
the
ball is pushed through the circlip which acts as a retainer. Should the retaining
force between the ball and socket not be sufficient, versions with safety
catch are available.
The housing and threaded shank are made of zinc-plated steel with a blue
passivated finish, with hardened ball and lubricated ball socket. The angle
of rotation
is 15? for the safety catch version and 18? for the non-safety catch version.
Ball joints are available with right-hand or left-hand thread, in thread
sizes M5 x 8 through M14 x 1.5. Versions with reduced resistance (ball
socket with
play) and versions in stainless steel are available upon request.
