Energy Recovery Ventilation Equipment Listed on Database
A new directory has been added to PrimeNet, the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration
Institute’s (ARI) free online product performance database. Contractors,
engineers, consumers, researchers, equipment specifiers, manufacturers and others
can now tap into certified data, updated daily, from ARI’s Air-to-Air Energy
Recovery Ventilation Directory. For more information visit www.ariprimenet.org.
“
ARI’s Air-to-Air Energy Recovery Ventilation Directory has up till now
been available only as a downloadable Adobe Acrobat™ file,” said
Matthew Friedlander, chairman of ARI’s Energy Recovery Ventilation Product
Section. “In that form it was difficult to keep the directory up to date.
Our section turned to PrimeNet because it allows component ratings to be updated
immediately, making PrimeNet the best source to find information about ARI-certified
energy recovery ventilation equipment.”
PrimeNet users search – for free – the performance ratings for
all ARI-certified equipment. PrimeNet provides accurate real-time information
that
is more economical than printing paper directories and it allows users to define
search parameters and quickly access information.
According to Mark Menzer, ARI’s vice president of Engineering and Research,
PrimeNet provides valuable confirmation of a manufacturer’s performance
claims. “The certified ratings provide the assurance that the product will
perform as indicated in the directory,” said Menzer. “ARI goes through
an extensive process of verifying a manufacturer’s performance claims.
That’s one of the reasons the ARI certification emblem on a product is
a mark of confidence in product performance.”
