Visitor Control Security Solutions Offered

Infrasafe, a global security design and integration firm, announced that it has been selected to provide its iVisitor web-based visitor management and badging solution to the two main Bank One corporate facilities in Chicago, including its corporate headquarters. As a component of the solution, Infrasafe utilized its recent partnership with Zebra Technologies in providing thermal bar code label printers for production of on-demand identification badges for the visitors to these high-rises.

Accessing iVisitor through a standard web-browser, buildings’ tenants and employees pre-register anticipated visitors, dynamically updating the expected visitor information at the security station and guest registration areas. When guests arrive, building guards verify the identity of the visitor through the iVisitor system and a photo ID. Once verified, a real-time notification of the visitor’s arrival is sent to the host and the guest badge is automatically printed using Zebra’s Z4M bar code printers, enabling guest access into the building. For increased security and life safety, iVisitor’s unique architecture allows building management the ability to bar unwanted guests, such as disgruntled ex-employees, from entering the facility and allows real-time collection of visitor information from any computer, in case of an emergency.

Rick Arnold, Director of Sales and Marketing for Infrasafe said, “Working with leading corporate customers of this caliber is further validation of our dedication to providing ‘best of breed’ solutions for our customers across multiple markets.”

The Infrasafe system works with numerous existing access control systems and network ID management applications. “The value created in streamlining the visitor identification process is immeasurable,” said Stuart Itkin, Vice President of Marketing for Zebra. “We have automated access control to enable security personnel to focus on security, all while providing an efficient, professional experience for visitors and building occupants. Eliminating the manual processes associated with this task offers customers a significant return on investment and provides a very intuitive and user-friendly solution that everyone can embrace.”.
