Siemens Donates Electrical Equipment

In December 2002 Siemens Energy and Automation donated equipment valued at approximately $10,000 to the Indianapolis Electrical Joint Apprenticeship Training Center. The donated equipment, which was being used to outfit a 1000 sq. foot motor control training lab, supports students participating in the training centers five year apprenticeship program as well as graduates who return as journeymen to update their electrical training. The equipment donated by Siemens includes eight sets of industrial motors, combination heavy-duty motor starters, limit switches proximity, switches, breakers, and other accessories. The equipment was donated as part of an industry/academic partnership between Atlanta-based Siemens Energy and the Indianapolis Training center following a major renovation.
